New Year's Eve with Bishops Eight

Some of our members represented Blue Diamonds at the Bishops Eight New Year Event.  The theme was Nursery Rhyme Characters... You may recognise some familiar faces (or even the rear view in some cases) from the attached photo.  Apparently, a good time was had by all and the message from John Turner at Bishops Eight is: Happy dancing in 2016, we hope to see club members sometime through the year.

New Dancers & New Life for Old Club Video

I'm pleased to say that we've had two new dancers join us in recent weeks (Pippa and Francis), who seem to be picking up all the basic steps really well!  So, I thought it would be good to dig out a copy of 'The illustrated Basic and Mainstream Movements of Square Dancing' handbook, as well as a DVD copy of on old (VHS) demonstration video that was recorded by experienced dancers at the club many years ago... And then I thought, why not convert the sections into short clips that could be uploaded and viewed on-line.  You may have noticed the video player window on our home* page... Why not take a look? I know that the quality is not great, (some in colour, some in black & white and some that flick between the two) but the content is still good.  Enjoy!
